Saturday, September 21, 2024                                                                                            Fall Bridge Tour Jackson and Vinton Counties   Meet at the roadside rest on the east side of US Route 35, about 9 miles north of Jackson.  The tour includes three covered bridges in Jackson, four covered bridges in Vinton County, and a guided tour of Buckeye Furnace State Memorial, a rebuilt 19th century charcoal iron furnace, charging shed and company store.  The lunch stop will be at Buckeye Furnace, so you will need to bring a picnic lunch.  Questions?  Call David Simmons at 740-965-4023.
